Costa Rica - Don Claudio | Washed

The Don Claudio is a signature micro-lot single origin produced by CoopeAgri.  The coffee is sourced exclusively from four selected producers.  Their farms are positioned on steep volcanic slopes in the Perez Zeledon region in Costa Rica.  Crafted by our coffee roaster to highlight its natural sweetness, roasted nut and molasses falvours and its vivid mouthfeel.  It's a beautiful expression of the volcanic region and the dedication of the four producers. 🌍✨

A great choice for filter brews or a lighter, fruit-driven espresso — roasted as an omni for all types of brewing.

Each coffee lot is carefully coded right at the farm, hand-harvested, and kept separate before reaching CoopeAgri’s central wet mill. Based in Costa Rica, CoopeAgri runs one of the country’s most advanced coffee facilities, offering strong technical support to its members and upholding strict quality standards. Both their wet and dry mills are built with sustainability in mind, using water- and energy-saving systems to reduce environmental impact while maintaining exceptional quality from farm to export.

😋 Flavour Notes:

Juicy apricot sweetness balanced with smooth caramel and a gentle touch of nutmeg spice. Medium body and medium acidity.

✍️ Recipe:

Filter Brew Ratio: 1:16
Brew Time: Around 2 minutes (depending on method).

That means for every 1g of coffee, use 16g of water.
Example: 15g of ground coffee = 240g water.
Using a French Press? Try 2 heaped tablespoons (about 14g) with 240–250ml hot water.

Named after the cooperative’s founding president, this lot comes from just four selected farms on steep volcanic slopes. Young coffee trees (3–5 years old) are chosen for their strength and high cup quality potential.
