Our current specialty offering straight from the coffee roaster!
This coffee is from a region in Colombia named Narino. Narino lies in the far south of Colombia bordering Ecuador in the high peaks of the Andes.
As a coffee roaster, we’ve roasted this bean to bring out the most of its natural flavours. This specialty coffee has been roasted light to suit mainly filter style brew methods.
Adelmo Rojas is a talented smallholder specialty coffee producer who worked closely with neighbouring farmers to get their coffee out of the mountains ready for export. The unique profile this coffee displays is from the soil with a high percentage of organic material and various volcanoes in the department. There is a large number of volcanic partials in the soil.
😋 Flavour Notes:
Purple grape, lime, milk chocolate.
This Colombian displays a very unique profile due to its location being possible to cultivate this coffee high altitude with a cooler than average temperature. The cup gave us a rich body with a unique bright acidity.
Filter Brew Ratio: 1:15
Brew Time: Less than 2-minutes (depending on brew method).
This means that for every gram of ground coffee added into the filter there is 15 grams of hot water. Still stuck? Check out this video to learn about applying brew ratios here.
