Our latest single origin caters for both espresso and filter drinkers!
This coffee is from a region in Burundi (Africa) named Kayanza. A natural processed coffee typically exhibits fermented flavours with high levels of sweetness and flavour. It is from a washing station with wide reach to local farmers named Businde. It is a Red Bourbon variety and this farm is well know for its harvest of specialty coffee. Businde producers receive a premium that was 20% above the local market rate this year and this washing station pays its staff above 60% the casual labour rate in Burundi. Higher wages for the farmers equals higher quality, care and attention to the end product of the coffee.
As a coffee roaster, we’ve roasted this single origin to bring out the most of its natural flavours for all brewing methods including espresso and filter. This specialty coffee has been roasted medium to bring it outs smooth pleasant body and showcase its natural sweetness.
